This has led to me creating multiple accounts based on how I happen to type my email address. This is especially confusing as I have to remember the correct way I typed my email when I setup the account in order to get the correct login sent to me. Although RFC 5321 - Simple Mail Transfer Protocol states it’s up to the domain to determine how the local-part is interpreted. I would argue that they should follow RFC 1035 - Domain names - implementation and specification and be treated as case insensitive.

I just popped in to say exactly this. Super annoying and confusing.

This has just been fixed. I’ve merged duplicate user accounts that have multiple case variations of the same email address, so uploads assigned to separate accounts are now collected under a single one.
